Yes. Our pigments can be used with any tattoo machine or microblade.
Our carbon-based eyeliners should be used with caution by experienced artists only. We have a variety of carbon-based and non-carbon eyeliners to choose from so you can always reach the safest and desired result for each of your clients.
Our pigments are manufactured in South Carolina.
Absolutely! Our line is for all professionals. With appropriate training, Perma Blend pigments will help you leave your mark at every stage of your artistry. When using one of our four carbon-based black eyeliners, we recommend that newer artists choose Blended Black or Black Beauty as they have a lower pigment load.
We’re always looking at ways to optimize our assortment to match the needs of our artists. Our artists are overwhelmingly choosing smaller sizes, therefore we’ve streamlined our production by removing larger size bottles to reduce both plastic and ink waste.
Permanent Makeup, also known as micropigmentation, is a cosmetic procedure that involves the application of pigment to enhance facial features. Common areas include, but are not limited to, eyebrows, eyeliner, and lips. It’s also used for scar camouflage, areola restoration, and other paramedical correctional procedures.
The longevity of Permanent Makeup varies based on factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and the specific area treated. On average, results can last from one to five years, and touch-ups may be required to maintain the desired look.
When performed by a trained and licensed professional, Permanent Makeup is generally safe. Ensure that the technician follows strict hygiene and safety protocols, including the use of sterile equipment and high-quality pigments.
Discomfort levels can vary among individuals, but most people report minimal pain during the procedure. Topical anesthetics are typically applied to minimize any discomfort.
The duration depends on the area being treated. On average, procedures take between one to three hours. Factors such as design complexity and the client’s pain tolerance can influence the time needed.
There is typically minimal downtime associated with Permanent Makeup procedures. Some redness and swelling may occur initially, but this usually subsides within a few days. Following aftercare instructions is crucial for optimal healing.
Yes! You can still wear traditional makeup if desired. Permanent Makeup is meant to enhance your features, but you can use additional makeup for special occasions or to change or modify your look.
Yes, you can collaborate with the technician to choose the pigment color and discuss the desired shape. Professionals often provide recommendations based on your skin tone, features, and personal preferences.
While complications are rare, there are some potential risks, including infection or allergic reactions. Choosing a skilled and experienced technician, following aftercare instructions, and disclosing any allergies or medical conditions can minimize risks.
It is generally not recommended to undergo Permanent Makeup procedures during pregnancy or while breastfeeding due to potential unknown effects on the fetus or infant. Consult with your healthcare provider for personalized advice.
Costs vary depending on the area treated, geographic location, and the experience of the technician. It’s important to prioritize skill and safety over price when choosing a professional.
Research technicians in your area, read reviews, and ask for before-and-after photos of their work. Ensure they are licensed, trained in permanent makeup, and follow strict hygiene protocols.
Some colors can stain the inside of a bottle which may result in the appearance of a darker or slightly different shade than what will appear on the skin after a drawdown. Rest assured that each formulation is consistent, so your results will be too.
No. Because of the high-quality ingredients we use, as well as our attention to color balance, lightfastness, and pigment concentration, our shades will only lighten slightly when healed. They will never change colors.

We are always committed to using the highest quality pigments, the highest pigment load, and the best carrier ingredients so your work will last. Over seven years of data confirms that Perma Blend shades will only fade slightly over time, to a lighter version of the original color.
If the right color is selected for a client’s skin tone and proper technique is used, our pigments will never turn grey.
All of the above! Our shades come in a variety of tones. Not sure which is which? Each product description notes whether a color is warm, cool, or neutral so you can always achieve your and your client’s desired result.

Yes. Perma Blend products are carbon-based. Most colors contain titanium dioxide and/or carbon to make the pigments more stable and less likely to change shades when deposited in the skin.
Double Black appears darker in the skin than Eyeliner Black due to its heavier pigment load.
Our premium ingredients are a blend of powdered pigments, aqua, hydrocarbon resins, glycerin, witch hazel, isopropyl alcohol, and benzyl alcohol. They are always vegan and cruelty-free.
Some colors are made with organic ingredients, while others are made with inorganic materials or blended. Similar ingredients are used in the formulations of permanent makeup and tattoo ink, however, each Perma Blend product is designed for its specific, intended use. This means that a Perma Blend brow formula is different from a lip formula and so on. Each of our products is designed for its intended use in a specific procedure or application in order to achieve the most targeted performance and stability.
The retention rate of Perma Blend is higher than that of most other brands on the market. With over 40 years of experience formulating pigments, Perma Blend has quickly become the choice of top artists worldwide for its lasting and true-to-color results.
Thick Shading Solution contains more glycerin for a slightly heavier consistency. Either solution is used to lessen the pigment load so you can always achieve your desired color result.

Because quality is of the utmost importance to all of our products, we always use the absolute highest quality pigments with the highest lightfastness rating to achieve maximum color concentration, stability, and performance.

No, Perma Blend is not pre-modified.
Pre-modified pigments will need less warmth added to suit the undertone of a client’s skin. We have a wide range of shades to choose from so you will always be able to appropriately match your client’s unique coloring.
Yes, Tones of Perma Blend sets are pre-modified. Based on the Fitzpatrick Scale, which measures the amount of melanin in the skin after exposure to the sun, each set contains six colors with a range of warmth to suit the majority of clients within each Type. Each set also comes with its own warm modifier, so you can adjust the color to perfectly suit your client’s unique tone. (For brows, most clients will need some warmth added to their color choice.) We highly recommend that artists take a color theory class to more deeply understand how colors interact with various skin tones, so they can always achieve the desired result for every client.
